Travel & Hotels

Travel recommendations for your time in Mallorca

Mallorca offers many accommodation options, from boutique hotels & fincas tucked into romantic corners of the island near the Tramuntana mountains or a coast, to hotels & airbnb’s near Palma de Mallorca that offer nightlife and popular beaches.

Our wedding celebration will be on a finca in the countryside about 10 miles north of the major city, Palma de Mallorca. We recommend guests to stay in either Palma de Mallorca, or nearby in the “German areas”of Arenal and Playa de Palma. We will provide shuttles to the wedding with stops in both of these areas.

For any visual planners, view the map below or our Google map.

Our travel plans:
We plan to be in Mallorca in the days leading up to our wedding weekend, and are happy to enjoy the sun with family & friends before our wedding weekend kicks off! We’ll be staying at Iberostar Playa de Palma.

Palma de Mallorca

There are many great options in capital city of the Balearic Islands, either tucked away in the winding neighborhoods, or near the beach! We’re proposing a few great options below based on style, district, pool vibes, family-friendliness, and overall value.

Getting around Mallorca

Uber is not operating in Mallorca, but there are many taxis and busses available. Many hotels offer an airport shuttle, and we will provide a shuttle to & from our wedding location. Other wedding events will be planned at a central location. If you plan to spend additional time on the island, you may want to consider renting a car.

Getting to Mallorca

The only airport on the island is the Palma Airport (PMI).

We know our guests are no strangers to international travel. You’ll find many flights from the States operated by Delta, United and American Airlines partnered with the European airlines Air France, KLM, Lufthansa and Iberia airlines.

As Mallorca is one of the most popular destinations for European tourists, there are many daily flights from various cities via low-fare European airlines that are not partnered with Delta, United or American and will not appear as a connection option. For even more flight path options, consider creating your own connection.

Your children are welcome

We fully understand some of our guests prefer to travel with kids. We suggested some child-friendly hotels, and we’ll have child meals for kids over age 2 at our reception. If you haven’t already, please indicate this as a note in your RSVP.
